Medical Advice Online is Helpful

One of Medical Advice Online
One web site that I like to visit for medical advice online is medhelp.org, where you can ask questions about medical conditions or health related issues and get advice from a real doctor. It has been very useful to me, because I would always have to tell them that I did not have a regular doctor and ask what was the best way to treat something without a prescription drug.
Something that I have seen a lot with medical advice online is that whoever is giving it will recommend that you see your regular doctor or physician for a proper diagnosis. When a doctor's visit costs upwards of $100, however, and you don't know how much a prescription is going to be, that is not always possible.
Another site of Medical Advice Online
Another site that I like to visit for online medical advice is WebMD.com. This site does not allow you to ask specific questions to doctors, but it does provide the opportunity for self-diagnosis by entering the symptoms you have and the part of the body being affected. It has been a very useful tool for me when I have experienced certain aches and pains.
There are all kinds of sites that allow you to describe the symptoms that you have been having and for how long, and they will provide you with a general diagnosis of what the problem may be. It is not a substitute for a doctor's visit and I guess technically it would not be considered online medical advice, but it can be helpful in terms of giving you an idea of what you are experiencing.
Even now that I have health insurance, I still find myself looking at a lot of these web sites for online medical advice, and have never really been led astray by doing so, or suffered any setbacks on my road to recovery.
I really believe that when it comes to online medical advice, just use your head. If you are able to contact an actual doctor who diagnoses you and suggests something that sounds bizarre in terms of treatment, he is probably not legitimate. I have never experienced anything like that, however, and such web sites can be very useful with regards to getting an idea of what medical problems you may have.
